So the plan is to run a continuous campaign based in the little explore region of the Old World called Albion (like you don't know the place). In general I am planning to run it using the Dragons Rampant (DR) rules, with a mix of Mighty Empire(ME) rules to explore and see how character fair (Not everyone will survive). Plus with it being Albion the old weather rules from the same campaign will be used and adapted to suit the DR rules.
The setting is after the End Times, but instead of the World dying, the South Portal was reopened and the God of Law re-entered the world. (See more here God of Law). This Event re-balanced the world and removed the abilities of the Chaos Gods to destroy it. The idea will be to allow friends to use Sigmarines as Golems of Order (Shudder) and explore the mortals trying to balance the two sets of gods strength in order to maintain equilibrium, but that a bigger story to tell....
So with the end of the world being avoided - Dwarfs have started reclaiming Ancestor homes.... and Dungal Mines haven't been forgotten!

This is great Mark - I think a wider campaign setting really makes the table top action come to life. I run a broad setting for our group, with a very tongue in cheek approach:

I would be keen to see what you do with bringing weather into DR
thanks and have fun!
Excellent stuff, i always enjoy reading this sort of thing!
DeleteThe weather in general is a direct copy from Shadows over Albion campaign but tweaked slightly to work, ie instead 3x artillery dice score, it is 3xd6. Plus we always check the weather on the Isle of Skye to know our starting point on the table
I don't have that campaign so not sure what looks like, but I think its awesome that you use real world weather conditions for your battles - very cool :-)
DeleteI am hoping to do a blog post with the revised tables for the campaign - you will get the idea :)
